Chilling in my trendy new hat.
Hello World! Today’s my seventeenth birthday! :) Although it is over Spring Break and most of my friends are not here, it was a very pleasant day. I woke up to a beautiful day and balloons in my face. I took a shower and got ready, trying on twenty different outfits, before I left for physical therapy. Blasting Justin Bieber as I sped down Lee Highway, I realized that everyone was driving so damn slow today… Even the left lane was going under the speed limit… I suppose people were just taking it easy because of the beautiful weather. I arrived at physical therapy to find that my jaw was doing so much better, although an abnormal pain showed up, but didnt worry Ann too much.
After PT, I made my way to pick up Kristi to go to Tysons… I had no idea it would take over 20 minutes to get there. We had lunch at Potbelly, where I took advantage of the gift card I was given for my birthday (courtesy of JohnTodd! - name drop!) We got to Tysons and got a primo parking spot, and also got our movie tickets for The Last Song. We headed over to Urban and Forever, etc, where I got some awesome steals. I got a belt, headband, crop top, bandeau, and my trendy hat pictured above. I love shopping with Kristi because we have the same taste and we’re the same size… it’s perfect.
We kinda lost track of time in Forever, because we were about to check out when we realized that we had a movie to go to… 8 minutes before the movie and we were at the end of a long line. Knowing me, I was stressing out because of my Time OCD, but we made it and bolted to the theatre. We missed most of the previews, but I didn’t mind since they were all really for cartoons. Did you know The Last Song is rated PG? It’s Nicholas Sparks; it should definitely be PG-13. But I feel like since today I turned seventeen, I should’ve taken advantage and seen an R movie… Too bad all of them suck.
The Last Song was enjoyable. It was not the best movie, but the story is phenomenal- typical Nicholas Sparks stuff. Before I get into critiquing the acting and directing, let me tell you that it was the saddest movie of my life. Predictable, as usual, but I have never cried so hard during a movie. (Note - Do not take Laura Levy to see this movie.) Story, AND ENDING, was better than Dear John, but the acting definitely was not. Miley did well, I suppose, but she was really awkward and there were little things she kept doing that annoyed me. So was the Dad, he was awkward too, but maybe that’s what he was supposed to do. Liam was adorable and portrayed a Nicholas Sparks-esque boy perfectly, although he had his weird moments. The little brother killed me. He was adorable, he was funny, he made me the most emotional. He definitely pulled on my heartstrings the most. I won’t go on talking about the movie though; I don’t want to spoil it for you. Not the greatest movie, but it’s a definite go-see for sure.

Adorable and wish Alex was as cute as this kid.
I’m off to birthday dinner with Daddy and a night of New Moon and Glee.
Au-Revoir!
