Ever since I blogged about my photoshop, I’ve come to the realization that I should continue and share my work on my blog.

DUHSKIES.

So that is what I shall do.

Buenos Noches.

*spoiler alert*

(originally written on Feb 15th, 2010 11:11am)

“Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?”

- Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore

Chew on that. This quote is my all-time favorite, and a lot of people question me why (actually mainly my sister). I love this quote not only because is it from the greatest series of books of our generation (and the best installment of the series, the Deathly Hallows), but it pertains to my life drive.

Life Drives. Ms Cadby just finished teaching us what a life drive is and how to live that on stage. A life drive is one’s view on life, and how one wants to live it. For example, Ms Cadby gave the example that Sarah’s life drive is: To Live Life Right. Which, how I interpret it knowing Sarah, is to live life to the fullest, and experience it the right way. It’s kind of an abstract concept to wrap your mind around, but it doesn’t not make sense.

BEFORE CONTINUING, please note that the rest of this post is a HUGE spoiler to the entire Harry Potter series.

And…

Thus, this quote by Dumbledore said to Harry Potter when Harry is killed by Voldemort and ends up at King’s Cross to meet his mentor and confidant, is my life drive. (That was a mouthful)

Still trying to figure out what this quote means? It can be interpreted in so many ways, and my interpretation may or may not make sense to you. My mind is a bit abstract. (Thank you, Cadby and YHS Theatre)

We find Harry in Chapter 35 after he has sacrificed himself to the Dark Lord Voldemort in order to inevitably destroy him. Harry is now “dead” and roaming a familiar, but empty,

King’s Cross station. Dumbledore, who is actually dead, is then in sight, where Harry is overjoyed and confused at his presence. Dumbledore explains to Harry how he (Harry) is not really dead and still alive, because of the Horcrux situation and all the dark magic stuff that Voldy did. Dumbledore then goes on about how he, he again being Harry, can save himself and the entire Wizarding World. As it comes to an end, Harry asks “Is this real? Or has this been happening inside my head?” where Dumbledore replies with the quote stated at the beginning.

So, Harry is confused by whether or not this occurrence was a dream or reality, but Dumbledore reassures him with a question that really answers itself… that it is one-hundred percent okay to have a dream in your head to also be reality. Ergo, I believe this quote is saying that your dreams can be real. All those dreams can be turned into reality. They are reality. So yes, my life drive is to live my dreams.

Thank God Dumbledore for such wise and inspirational words.

And I leave you with this - Tarantallegra, Muggles! (and catch ya later, Tumblrz!)

POSTSCRIPT: If you can’t see the caption of the picture, PLEASE look under the bench and check out ol’ Voldy, chillin’

Farewell, Muggz!

I forgot how good I was with photoshop and Myspace. I really really miss it. I wish I still had the time and passion for it… maybe this summer? I miss being artsy. Click “Read More” to see more of my work :) Credit to me: Midnight Adieu

Probably the best accident I’ve made.

One of my best and took the longest.

I’m so artsy.

Triple the Nick!

Sooo original, and sooo proud of this.

Not the best blending, but fucking awesome.

One of the simpler ones.

Favorite font, texture, and coloring.

Love this and still think I’m really clever.

One of my first.

Reminisce.

I’m soooo excited! But I think I’m more excited by the fact that JESSICA, my lil YDT sister is co-captain too! She’s amazing and I couldn’t be more proud of her.

Yesterday was a whole roller coaster rush of emotions. I was so nervous and frustrated the night before and throughout the day; I kept stressing myself out. Then after school as we were practicing I was still nervous, but I began getting SO anxious. I just wanted to get it over with. It was then time for tryouts and I don’t even remember them, really. I just remember Kyla actually being nervous and that I really really had to pee. The waiting game was the worst, but I made the best of it since it was the last time I would EVER have to do it… holy shit that was my 4th tryout! That’s crazy. Anyways, when Liz announced the officers, quite quickly I might add, she said my name and I was motionless, I didn’t have enough time to process what she had just said. After all officers were named (Abby, Savannah, Jessica, Morgan, Lexi, and I), I burst into tears, I hate the Seniors for leaving. Jennifer especially. And then anger came when I arrived at Chipotle with Savannah, Abby, Vicky, and Laura, but that always happens when we find out who made the team… Nonetheless, we’ll all love each other by the end of the year, just like this year.

Oh man, I miss my Justin Bieber dance already.

Hey, ho! YDT got soul!

confessions of a shopaholic

Wow… have I not updated in awhile or what?

First off, I’d like to say Happy Birthday to John Malcolm Todd, my best friend. Last night was fun, buddy ol’ pal! You are my teddy bear.

Please note the height difference.

I’m really much to lazy to update fully. So let me just tell you that school is pointless now that AP exams are over and the weather here is all over the place. AND I’M REALLY EXCITED FOR YDT TRYOUTS! There’s lots of drama for who will be officers… I’m nervous.

Also, I’m really pretty.

advanced placement

Hello, I’ve had an interesting few days.

I know, blogging on a Friday… I’m so lame. But I have a little bit of time before I go out, so I thought I’d blog about what I’ve done while it’s fresh in my mind.

Yesterday, I went to Williamsburg for YDT, and I’ll just give you the general gist, because it’s rather unexciting if you weren’t there. We went to WMS, it was awkward, there is a very creepy girl who is obsessed with us, Joe’s was yummy.

Yesterday, though, really wasn’t a very good day. I woke up early so I could get Starbucks, but once it was time to leave, I couldn’t find my damn keys and sneezed 6 times in a row, messing up my keys. Turns out, Dad left my keys in the ignition of Jessica’s car… Who does that?, making me late for school and missing Starbucks. When I got to school, I forgot to print out my final draft of my English paper, awesome. Then, I dropped off Erik at home, dropped Jessica’s car off at the mechanics, and went to get my blood drawn for testing. When the lady was drawing my blood, the vein in my left arm stopped giving, so she was basically digging around trying to find a good spot. She just ended up drawing blood from my other arm… Sweet. I walked out of there with two purple princess bandaids in the creases of both my arms. THEN, I came home and conked out because I was exhausted, and slept through my alarm, making me late for babysitting. On top of that, the car was at the mechanics, so Dad had to go get it, and I was 30 minutes late to babysitting… Oops.

On the bright side…

Today, I had my AP US History exam, and I went into it totally unprepared. First of all, Prantner didn’t prepare us half as well as Imholt did her classes. Also, I’m reeeeally bad at testing… dunno why. Anyways, the multiple choice was not bad at all; there were only two or three that I had no idea about. The DBQ, I thought, was rather ridiculous. I hate when the documents barely help you answer the question, let alone support your thesis. The Free Response essays were good, because they were very generic and it was so easy to BS your way through it, which I did, and it still made absolute sense. It was awesome. I finished like 35 minutes early, so I used my last few pages to write about Harry Potter, then crossed it out, because it doesn’t count. I was hoping I would have no idea what a FRQ was asking so I could try to tie it to Harry Potter and write about that… Heh.

I definitely didn’t have to go to my afternoon classes. I went off for 6th to get lunch with Erik, and in 7th period we went over stuff that I have no idea about since I missed block, and in 8th we had the LAMEST Cinco de Mayo fiesta… someone should’ve brought margaritas.

But yeah, after school a bunch of us just showed up at Erik’s house and the boys decided to “braahh it up” and play some lax… fml. Thank God Shanley wasn’t there.

Now I’m here, blogging. Erik’s birthday present came in the mail, so I wrapped it and it is so pro… I’m awesome, basically. I also found my Tiffany & Co ring, as well as my Theatre bead necklace from In a Strange Land. OH! And I fixed my YDT lanyard. So, I had a pretty productive afternoon.

I don’t know what I’m doing tonight… we’ll see.

Eject.

competence

I decided another pet peeve of mine is incompetent people. It’s okay if you’re just not smart, but if you aren’t competent, then I’m just sorry… I can’t work with you.

So my list, in order:\

1. People in crowds who walk slow as SHIT and taking up the entire pathway. Have some courtesy, people.

2. People who are rude / have no common courtesy.

3. People who don’t know how to walk… i.e. girls who fuck up their Uggs and Rainbows because they refuse to walk like a normal person, and…

4. Incompetence.

5. Incorrect grammar.

6. People who whole utensils with their entire fist… what the

I would say ignorance, but sometimes ignorance is bliss. It’s better to not know, than to freak yourself out with what you do know, which is why I want to know nothing about my future.

Basically, my overall pet peeve is people. I really really loathe the human population.

And that is my cynical post of the day.

But regardless, my day was exciting because I was only at school for three periods: 1st block, 3rd, and 6th. I went to Swanson to recruit for Dance Team… probably one of my more awkward occurrences. I’m so glad I’m not in middle school anymore; it’s so awkward. Anyways, all the girls were either going to W-L, or really sassy and didn’t want to try out.

I’m crossing my fingers that tomorrow will be more successful, and it will be, because it’s Williamsburg.

PS - Anyone seen Miley’s new video? You’re not Gaga; you can’t ever be on her level. Get the fuck over yourself.

I’m out.

james & the giant peach

For those of you who did not attend James & the Giant Peach, here’s a little taste of what you missed… of me. I’m so conceited.

Also, the list for the International Thespian Society was posted today! GUESS WHO’S ON IT?! Again, I’m conceited. If you didn’t guess correctly, it was me.

Anyways, here’s the cast picture, click “Read More” for more pictures!

just like the old days

To Write Love On Her Arms has really come a long way since I began volunteering for them back in ‘07. I was only 14, so it was a little weird to be working for them, but I’m really glad I did, and I really wish I still did.

They have lots of new shirts that I want aaaaaand they’re available in Hot Topic now? Crazy. They also have huge article in USA Today; I’m so excited for them!

Side Note - I liked this weekend. I didn’t do anything big or exciting, but I really enjoyed it. I’ve missed it :)

And I also just made the Lion King song my alarm (thanks to Texts from Last Night). Judge me.
